Unicode characters in "Replace with" box [Writer]

Hello Everyone.
Could someone please explain to me how to use Unicode characters in \uXXXX format in Replace with box? In "Search for" box they work fine but if I put them into "Replace with" field they appear straight in the text (i.e. my text fills in with "\uXXXX " text).

I missed the information about my LO version: it's 4.4.6.3 on Windows platform.

I think this depends on your operating system. In any case, a workaround would be to use whatever works in the document itself and then to copy the relevant character(s) from the document and paste it/them into the "Replace with" box.
