Of course the biggest problem is that the 3.3 RC 3 installer is again
all-English, so it cannot get a green light as a RC for the release from the
Slovenian team.
The installer should on its first dialog ask for the installation language -
from the next dialog on that language should be used in the install process.
The language for the first dialog should be guessed from the OS interface
language and if that language is not existing in the installer English
should be used.
It seems that the installer language files are included but obviously the
installer just queries for the OS language which is not ok - many people use
English Windows but want the office to be installed in native language.
I already pointed to Pidgin and other open-source apps that have got this
right already. I suggest that both names of the languages are represented in
the drop-down list, the native language name in native alphabet, a hyphen
and the English language name.
Thanks,
m.
