Unwanted chars in help

In my copy of the LO 4.1.2.3 Help (Norwegian, nynorsk) there are some unwanted characters in the headwords list. Example: "redigera - X{�J" ("redigera" = "edit").

I think the reason for these errors could be some missing closing tags somewhere in the po files. Something like "<bookmark_value>redigera<bookmark_value>" (missing "/" ) perhaps.
Where do I start hunting and what should I've been looking for?

As I am a translator of these files, I could very well have done these mistakes myself, but it does not help me anyway. Btw: I have seen these errors in other translations than Norwegian nynorsk too.

Perhaps not the right place posting this, but I did not found a translators or a documenters forum. Someone knows?
