Volunteer to create Kabylian community

Hi,

I volunteer to create kabylian community of LibreOffice. The kabylian
population is estimated to be about 10, 000, 000 all over the world,
particularly in Algeria, and it would be great to release and promote both
LibreOffice and this language.

Could someone please point me to further steps to do so?

Hi Hamidi,

Ok, so we don't have a project for Kabyle (kab) yet and need to set this up. There is guidance here:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/LibreOffice_Localization_Guide
on how this process works.

The two main jobs are the translation and creating a 'locale data file' - which is a file that tells LibreOffice how number/date/currency formats work (for example, in US English you normally have month-day-year whereas in UK English you have day-month-year). There's some information here https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/LibreOffice_Localization_Guide/How_To_Submit_New_Locale_Data about that. We can help you with that bit if necessary.
