Want to be lead of Hindi (hi) Language for libreoffice

Hi,

I want to be lead of Hindi (hi) Language translation for libreoffice.

I was working on the localization of OpenOffice from more than five years
and so I would like to work on this project for Hindi (hi) Language.

Please give me necessary permission so that I can join here as a lead for
Hindi.

I think you should contact Kinshuk Sunil <kinshuksunil@gmail.com> to figure out which one of you will be the lead and to coordinate your effort. He can also give you the permissions on Pootle if you want to translate online.

In case you don't get any reply, please write to this list again and I'll grant you the necessary permissions.

Regards,
Rimas Kudelis

Rimas, I am still trying to learn to use Pootle. For some reason, I dont get
the submit/suggest options as mentioned in the documentation.

Rajesh, I will be very glad to work on the Hindi localisation project with
you. I am still trying to get my bearings around contributing localisation
content.

Do you want me to grant rights to Rajesh?

Rimas

Rimas, thanks. I was properly logged in and still suffered from the issue.
Tried this time on a different network, different system and it works. Not
sure what to make of it.

I have added Rajesh to the project and granted him all privileges. I think
Rajesh and I can take this forward.

Do we have any localisation guides, so that terms have a consistency across
languages?

Perhaps you just needed a refresh or something. Well, nevermind.

I've altered that a bit by granting him rights on language level, not just on one project.

Not sure. It's possible to generate a terminology file, but I haven't tested that a lot, plus, it's likely not to work very well with many plural forms.

Maybe Sophie can input something?

We don't have that kind of thing. But I guess Rajesh will be able to help you and guide you in your first steps.

If some of you are interested, I've document made by Frank Peters in 2004 about the localization of the help files, giving an explanation of all the xml elements. A second part is about the workflow on documentation.

Kind regards
Sophie

I think that would be helpful.
My only experience is with localizing Drupal, and they have pretty robust
guides to help out newbies like me.
