Weird Calc behavior: does not add entire range?

Hello,

I'm using LO 5.4.0.2 on Linux, and I have some weird spreadsheet behavior.

On one of my spreadsheets, I have a named range. Then I have a cell
below it with the formula =SUM(NamedRange). The cell only picks up
some of the values! There are 33 rows in this range. If I put a 1 in
all of them, the total adds up to 26. If I use the actual cell ranges
instead of the name, it adds the cells properly.

How could the named range be malfunctioning??

o You talk of "rows" instead of "cells": does your range improperly include cells in other columns?

o Were seven of your cells formatted as Text before the data was entered? Are some of your 1s actually "1"s, that is?

If the named range doesn't cover the range you think it does?

Problems such as this are probably just guessing games unless you let anyone look at the actual spreadsheet (or a reduced example showing the problem). The explanation is probably very simple.

If you haven't do so already I would check to see that the named range actually includes all of the cells.
