UTF-8 , UTF-16, This is encoding, But i'm asking about the unicode standard.

I mean which version of the UnicodeStandard ...? 5.0.0 or 5.1.0 or 5.2.0 or
6.0.0

I _think_ what you are looking for is 'which font types support Unicode
6'? For example, the ubuntu font family does support Unicode 6 glyphs.
You can test in Ubuntu 10.10 (install ttf-ubuntu-font-family
0.69+ufl-0ubuntu1 if you do not already have it installed) and in LO or
OOo select the Ubuntu font. Now enter <Ctrl-Shift-u> 2 0 b 9 <enter> and
you'll get the Indian Rupee Sign. Try that in Gentium and you'll get a
square block symbol instead. See:

concerning the characters of this Unicode Block especially those ranging

The problem is when reopening an exported PDF with
LibO-Draw+PDFImport-extension

and this Unicode Block has just been added recetly to the Unicode standard,
that's why i'm asking.

no, it's not related to this, because :
1- Evince, GIMP on Linux, pdf x-change viewer and acrobat reader on Linux
are viewing my exported PDF correctly both on WinXP and Ubuntu-10.10

2- Both on WinXP and Ubuntu-10.10, LibO-Draw-3.3 + PDFImport extension have
exactly the same problem handling the last chars of the Unicode block
"Arabic Presentation Forms-B"

It's talking about problems when exporting to PDF, but mine is when
repoening Exported pdf with (LibO or OoO)-Draw-3.3+PDFImport Extension1.0.4

Salam,

In our company we are filling out pdf forms using three languages (arabic,
english and french).

We use OoO+PDFImport and LibO+PDFImport to (fill out) annotate our pdf forms.

using english characters, opening the pdf with Draw "is correct"

using french character, opening the pdf with Draw "is correct"

using arabic characters, open the pdf with Draw "is still correct" (but for the
only characters لا لأ لإ لآ or generaly for characters ranging from
FEF5 to FEFC "Arabic presentation forms-B Unicode Block")

I really do not know if it's a Draw problem or a PDFImportExtensio problem..?

i'm facing this issue using OoO-3.2.1.4 + PDFImport extension-1.0.4 and
LibO-3.3 (All RCs)+ PDFImport extension-1.0.4

on both a
Linux/Ubuntu-10.10-32bits machine and a WinXP machine.

no, it's not related to this, because :
1- Evince, GIMP on Linux, pdf x-change viewer and acrobat reader on Linux
are viewing my exported PDF correctly both on WinXP and Ubuntu-10.10

2- Both on WinXP and Ubuntu-10.10, LibO-Draw-3.3 + PDFImport extension have
exactly the same problem handling the last chars of the Unicode block
"Arabic Presentation Forms-B"

Well... as I mention previously in the other thread(s), the issue isn't
only with Arabic. Here are screenshots of the issue in Draw that is
English only.

Original PDF page opened in Adobe Reader (linux):

Note that on the page, standard spaces are missing between the words.
This only occurs on the pages that use the Calibri font set. Other pages

valid/legal calibri.ttf installed on this system - so the font
isn't/shouldn't be substituted.

Might not hurt to do so. Just point them to the bug reports and ask if
perhaps anyone is actively working on the extention.
