Won't print portrait

I just tried printing an envelope, as I have many times before, but
instead of printing in landscape mode, it prints portrait, which means I
can no longer properly print envelopes. Any idea what changed? I'm
running LibreOffice 4.1.5.3 on Linux

tnx jk

What printer are you using? And what printer "driver"? PDF or Postscript lever 1, 2, or 3?

Which version was the last it worked? The same and now it does not work?
If that is the case, it may be a problem with the config users files.
1 - Close LO.
2 - I would rename the hidden folder of ".config/libreoffice/4/user" to "/user-old"
3 - reopen LO

that should recreate a new user folder like it would with a new install. Then test out the envelope printing. If it does not work, then there is a different issue.

I don't recall how long ago, as it's been a while since I printed an
envelope. However, it's a Dell 1110 with the Dell 1110 Foomatic/gdi
drivers. However, further testing reveals it may be a printer problem,
as I can print to PDF properly.

I have has issues with a certain printer while other worked fine. The issue was that the laser printer was "stuck" printing in the 4 page per sheet mode, but would only print one of the very small pages per sheet, instead of 4. I never used that mode before. The other printers would print normally. The only other time was when a printer would bot duplex print when it did a few days before. Both needed the user config folder to be recreated. For some reason, sometimes a "gremlin" decided to mess up one of the config files and I cannot find where it was mess with. So recreating the folder works. I just then have to add the extensions needed. No problems there.

I never had any luck with finding a Dell printer driver for Ubuntu, or at least the ones I have had given to me to "pass on to others if needed". So I stick with HP and Canon [need to go to the UK site since the US site does not support Linux].

Just to add a bit into the mix, I am finding the same doesn't-want-to-print-
landscape in LO Writer. This is with Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon, 64-bit and a
Brother HL-2270DW laser printer. (The driver is the built-in CUPS driver.)
Funny thing is, it printed landscape fine until recently! Turn the file into
a pdf, open it in Document Viewer (i.e., Evince), and it prints in landscape
just fine. Perhaps the same would be true of Calc creations, as well?
Changing the .config user file in order to force the creation of a new one
achieved nothing, for me.

Sometimes is works, and sometimes it does not. But for me, more than half of my printer issues were from corrupted user config files.

Right now I run Linux Mint with MATE. There was chatter on their web site about Cinnamon having a lot of issues, a lot more than their MATE version. I use to run Ubuntu 12.04/MATE and will try 14.05/MATE when it comes out.

The OP had Portrait issues and you have Landscape issues. There is another thread talking about duplex issues. For some reason, some "specific" setups of Linux seems to have some "weird" printer issues that may not show up on other users with the same version of Linux and LO.
